In an enchanted and historic place, far from all the constraints of the neighbours, you will be able to make the most of your party without time limits. We are choosing to give you all of Roussillon so that you will feel at home.
The castle, being entirely private, can host marriages, baptisms, birthdays and other get-togethers which can take place in the intimacy of your family and friends. Jean-François Mailhol, the owner, will leave you the keys so that for your stay Roussillon will be yours.
The château de Roussillon is situated near many sites worth visiting, like Cahors (8km), St-Cirq-Lapopie, Rocamadour, Figeac, and the Valley of the Dordogne. From your castle-based holiday you can visit a number of exceptional places, the Valentre bridge, the caves of Pech Merle and of Padirac. Your senses will be regaled with truffles, foie gras, Rocamadour cheese, Quercy walnuts, Quercy melons and the wines of Cahors-Malbec, brought to you by the Lot’s impassioned restauranteurs. Walks along the Route of Santiago de Compostela (St James’ Way), hikes on the limestone plateau (le Causse) and cycle rides amongst the vines, boat trips down the Lot or canoeing on the Dordogne, swimming in the natural waters, fishing in the river - these activities are all available to you should you wish.
The apartments of the castle can welcome up to 20 people allowing you invite those close to you. You will also find in near proximity a hotel and 2 campsites with chalets as well as gites. We are available to you to advise and help on a number of issues, but you are entirely free to choose what you wish.
